We're doing everything we can to prevent tuberculosis spread. We should do the same for this virus. We shouldn't just write those people off as "oh well they died" when we could actually do something about it.
Our policy of engagement with China is (slowly) working. I have no reason to believe it wouldn't work with Cuba too. This is one of the rare occasions where I think that the policies of the United States helped cause the communist disaster in Cuba.
